Our story
Lending a Helping Hand
Our story started with me renting out rooms. the rooms were not expensive nor were they free. It started with Mr Troy renting out the room then he lost hi job. I told him don't worry about it for now we will work something out.i showed mr Troy how to fill out for unemployment,showed him how to fill out forms for department of public assistance. So I reduced his rent, and help him to get free medical as well. When Mr Troy unemployment ran out I got him a job. Then came Mr coles. He had seen the add in the paper and came to inquire about the room He had let me know that he was one step from being homeless . He also told me that he could not afford the rent. So i did what i always did gave him the room at a reduce price. Mr coles stayed there for 10yrs before he passed away .After Mr coles there was some one else. The list goes on and on. Not just with the ones that can pay, it's also with the ones that could not at all. That" the story behind Assisting Living Home. We have a House to Finish help with our vision and mission. One of the main reasons ASSISTING LIVING HOME was founded in 2018 was to compensate for the Philadelphia.,Pa. area’s struggles with Housing the Homeless. We offer an umbrella of services to our clients. We provide affordable housing , employment assistance and counseling for what ever the problem might be . Housing: We will be offering private rooms to our client to feel safe,if a client want something else , we will help them find it. Whether it's an apartment or room,it not sleeping on the street. Employment: We help find employment from different avenues. Counseling: We will find the program or person that you need to help get better.
